I've been using WordPress for years and one of my favorite features is the Custom Search Engine Settings. You can tweak this in so many different ways to get it just how you want it. The problem with many of the "How To" guides on the Internet is that they're too short and don't go into as much detail as they need to. On Squidoo, there are actually two different ways to manage your site: one of them is to create an individual lens and upload the contents of your website onto it; while the other way is to use the Webmaster Central area. The article contained this quote: "Google puts too much weight on individual links. Using forums for your SEO is like waving a flag and hoping that everyone notices." Now, I'm not saying that Google doesn't use forums to aggregate the information it needs for their search engine rankings, but to use them as part of the quality factor equation is something that many marketers are missing.
