5 Reasons Why I am So Happy to Fly with Spirit Airline
1. First, check a flight price comparison site like Kayak or Skyscanner to see what the going rate is for your flight.

There is a lot of talk about how US airlines are doing well in the marketplace, but what about the rest of the world? What about European, Canadian, and Australian airlines? How are these airlines faring compared to their US counterparts when it comes to customer satisfaction?
In the last few months alone, Spirit Airlines has announced that they will be canceling their flights in Dallas and Charlotte without notice. When I read this news I was quite shocked, but also a bit relieved. The fact that they cancelled flights without warning made me wonder why they were doing it. But then I remembered that even if a flight had been cancelled completely due to circumstances beyond their control, they would still have to pay for any additional flight tickets if they did not have them ready on time.
Thankfully, this wasn’t one of those cases. As they said in a press release announcing their decision: “Due to severe weather conditions impacting U.S.-based travel plans at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) today (Friday, September 11), we are cancelling our flights between DFW and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) with no notice or explanation as we work with our airline partners to ensure our customers get to where they're going safely.” So it appears that Spirit Airlines is working with their airline partners to ensure that their customers get where they want to go safely so long as there is weather-related capacity concerns at DFW or O’Hare airports at the time of booking. That’s pretty cool!

2. Then plug that information into a flight alert tool like Flystein (coming soon) to receive e-mail notifications when prices drop.

Spirit Airlines is one of the smallest airlines in the world, and yet it is one of the best. I have flown with Spirit quite a bit and have never been disappointed with the quality or convenience of their service.
Though I have used other airlines in different cities, I can’t say that Spirit has ever been anything but best. I have found it to be an extremely friendly and helpful group of people, especially for a newbie like me!
I’m not sure if it’s an accident or if they actually care about their customers, but whenever I’ve had an issue with my flight, they are ready and able to take care of me. They also offer a fully refundable return policy for any reason whatsoever.
The biggest plus for me is that they give you up to two free bags on your flights — even if your only traveling is on economy class! There are no baggage fees or additional charges; all you pay is your ticket price (plus taxes). You can check out their terms here .
And if you’re looking to save some money, they offer really good discounts on select flights and travel packages (like airfare) through their site , subscriptions , and rewards programs . Their “Fly For Free” program has always given me great deals — usually at least 50% off when combined with other promotions.
I hope this helps someone else: https://www.spiritairlines.com/fly-for-free-program-is-your-best-way-to-save

3. If Spirit airline customer service have time, you can also

Spirit Airlines is a small, privately owned, low-cost airline based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Originally founded in 1997 and based out of Orlando, the airline has grown rapidly in recent years. Today, Spirit Airlines serves more than 250 destinations worldwide with its own fleet of Airbus A320s and Boeing 737s.
The company was founded by Brian McNeill and his brother Chris. In 1998, they purchased the San Diego-based Delta Air Lines subsidiary JetBlue Airways. The airline was then renamed Spirit Airlines and was an original service member of the Joint Traveler Program (JTP).
In April 2004, Spirit Airlines merged with rival Allegiant Air to form Spirit Airlines. On May 1st 2016 the combined company was purchased by Frontier Airlines, who became the majority owner by virtue of their purchase of Allegiant's assets.[9]
