Another tactic to use it by really pushing forward with a relentless aggressive betting strategy. It takes a little bit of faith but I find this tactics pays out more than almost any other.

In reality, "clever" plays should be used only every once in a while. It shouldn't be the norm. In general, bet the value of your hand. If you have trips, bet out. If you have nothing and your opponent bets, fold.

This is a very profitable strategy because you start to control the outcome of the game, as in which pots you win, by your betting strategy and the amount you bet.

One of the main problems I used to have with c-bets was that I used them every single time I raised before the flop. It was just what I believed - what kind of whimp would make a raise before the flop and then check? It just didn't seem right to make a preflop raise without a continuation bet.

Now if you were vigilant in watching your opponents' actions in the early stages, the game will be easier to manipulate. Use your observations to your advantage. Knowing who calls a lot, who you can bluff, and whom you need to keep an eye on will determine the amount you will have for the next round.

Another great little betting tactics is using correctly betting the pot. What I mean by this is, you do not want to underbet the pot and you do not want to overbet the pot.

poker betting strategy When I'm in late position, I'll throw out a continuation bet against two people if they both check to me. Against 3 or more opponents, I won't c-bet at all unless I have a strong hand.

Fixed limit games are the most common types of Texas Hold'Em games. In fixed limit games, there are two different betting amounts, the low and the high betting amounts. For example, if you were playing Texas Hold'Em at a $10-$20 table, the first betting rounds all the bets would have to be made in $10 increments.
