‘Even a kindly priest will shoot a rabid dog’. It was a famous local story where I grew up. Like many young men I had a fascination for the military. I absorbed information about it. The use of guns and the reason for different armaments, and how to negate an enemy attack, I found interesting. There really was a local Minister (as we termed them) who shot a dog with a shotgun because it was believed to be rabid (infected with Rabies, the virus that often makes the infected animal crazy, reckless to danger, and frenzied and aggressive, prone to attacking).

Nobody wants to hear people call for the death of somebody. It’s abhorrent. The case of a leader of a superpower, a nuclear decision-maker with no real checks and balances to mitigate his moods and rages, is an exception. I don’t know why Putin is able to rationalise that killing lots of innocent people is acceptable, and I don’t personally have any time for the curiosity of the matter while the danger is still present. We can analyse it later. Will it literally take, an earth-shattering event, to stop the Kremlin blindly pursuing the violence of a madman?

I wouldn’t ask something of someone else, I wouldn’t do myself. It’s a vile act, that seems to be required, to stop a vile man from not only destroying Ukraine and threatening the world with an extinction-level event, but saving Russia from its own impotency in the face of their leader being such a man. Get up off your arses, Russians, you either depose the man and jail him, or something worse surely must happen?

I talk of obliterating Moscow - note that I find it highly likely Putin has already exited the Russian capital city. That does not make the massive destruction of it, and a large part of the population, any less effective at ending this Russian invasion and war. No ‘leader’ can survive the loss of this asset and all those lives, unless the populace was 100% certain they were pursuing the right path to peace and a resolution, is my belief. Don’t be fooled by shots and video of Putin walking around some corner of a corridor, and shaking the hand of a military person, then getting to a desk etc - I guarantee, Putin has a TV-studio style replica of a the place he speaks to the people from, in Moscow, copied and mocked-up somewhere deep underground.

Putin is no Zelenskyy. You will not see real video of Putin walking around Moscow streets, for any length of time, except one that’s fake. I could see him dashing-in for a quick video shot, he’s not in Moscow now, I am certain of that. He does not want to suffer the same fate he dishes out to others. A classic, frightened bully.

If there is another answer, really, in practical terms, we’d all love someone else to do it. In the absence of that wonderful ‘better idea’, we’re stuck with what’s worked in the past. Goodbye Mr Putin, I wish I could say it was a pleasure.
