Texas Hold'em might be the most popular poker variant. It is about strategy. It is a game of choice. Each player is given two cards. After the first betting round has finished, the dealer places 3 cards face up in the middle of the table - this is known as the flop. These 3 cards are shared among all players to form their final hands. The players now have 5 of the 7 cards available and can see how their hand is developing. The second round of betting begins at this point.
All action continues with the small blind. Each player has the option to call or raise and fold. After this betting round is completed, the showdown will take place.
Stud poker is the most popular type of poker game. The rule for this game is that a hand can only be dealt in a prearranged combination. The combination could be face-down and face up, or streets round. The seven-card Stud is the most popular variant. Next comes the five-card Stud. Other variants of this game include the six-card stud and the Caribbean stud.

After the turn is over, a fifth and last card is dealt face-up. The river is the next round of betting. This is the last round of betting on a hand of Hold'em.
