How can you keep bored in the dark hours of night? security guards in underground facility

It's a tough time for everyone. I have a difficult time trying to navigate this new world of gig economy as much as I did in the past. I used to do extremely well prior to the outbreak of the pandemic and in addition to my regular job as a dental assistant I had to pick up the night-time security job at a local machine manufacturing plant close to my home. It is mostly automated. The workers are on call all day long and I am only part of the night crew. I have an emergency number that I contact if there is a problem and some of the machinery stops without a visible restart time visible. I call engineers, and/or call the outside line to get more engineers. I don’t do anything. There's no way they can create anything of value here. Guards at night are a glorified switchboard attendant.

It's peaceful and I actually enjoy it. It's peaceful. Although I'm usually a sleepy person I find it quite spooky. The evenings can be boring, so I experiment with new ideas to help them go by more quickly. I've spent the past two weeks perfecting a routine I observed on Tik Tok. It's not difficult, but it's a challenge for me to recreate it. The dance was invented by a young girl from Tik Tok. I'm not sure how to describe this stuff since I'm an old person..

I've been playing with different car-fixing videos recently. I'm not able to immediately apply them to my vehicle, but I do enjoy watching others make their cars stop-stopping. The same is true for DIY videos, - they are often quite informational and enjoyable to view. However, I started to run across another issue. Then or later, internet stopped functioning on my phone, so I couldn't watch anything or perform any other useful activity at all, because as we've seen, nowadays everything is dependent on internet, even those fast and simple "do it yourself" videos.... and I came across a fantastic solution: preparation.. I discovered how to download Youtube videos onto my phone. Even though internet speeds are slow I can stream DIY videos on my smartphone. It doesn't matter if stream it on a site or other online. It's also possible to download it in your home and then view it on your phone when you don't have internet access or any other type of online. It's exactly the same as DVR for streaming online videos.

Speaking of TV, to my absolute delight, I have figured out how to download fresh episodes and even movies directly onto my laptop. Since my laptop has larger screens and better speakers, I have been bringing it into work. I signed up with HULU as well as Netflix. I can now download their apps and watch films instead of streaming them. The show's duration and the quality settings will determine how quickly the movie will download to my device. Then it'll be available at all times and without internet connection. I even now watch TV on my train ride to work, it's only 15 minutes, but it lets me catch up on one of the shows I fell asleep to last night.
There are other kinds of informative or just interesting items I can get at home and take along to work to make the time fly by quicker. YouTube's self-improvement workshops are an excellent source. But, as I said it's not easy to sit through a one-hour video and keep up with the content. If you're not sure I'll go over the explanation. In such situations I once again try to prepare at home, download the YouTube video in mp4 format to my laptop, and watch it any time at work, no limitations on wifi, and there is no need for wifi the video is DVR-ed on my laptop, nothing can go bad no matter how spotty the wifi, it is not necessary for me in this situation.
Sometimes, I take my son to work with me. This is because my wife does her shift at night, making it hard for us to be at home with our child. So I accompany him, place him near the screens of my computer and he sleeps within a matter of minutes. I get him up and provide him with my computer with a couple of songs. He is so happy that he is able to view the videos. This is how we can collaborate more efficiently, while doing our personal thing. He seems to like coming along with me. Perhaps because he stays awake all the night. Isn't that what kids often desire?
