تفتح عيناها رويداً على صوت أذان الفجر الذي لا تعرف كيف زارها ، تذهب و تغتسل لعل قلبها ينعم بالراحة و الطمأنينة ، و بعد تأدية الصلاة ظلت جالسة تفكر في مكالمة والدها بالأمس .. "مصاريف الماء و الكهرباء ، دواء أمي ، أجرة البيت..يا إلهي" تحدث نفسها قائلة ، فكيف تغلق عينها و لديها هذا الكم من الديون؟ ، تتجاهل الموضوع وتذهب إلى مطبخ السكن لإعداد الإفطار فلديها دروس لتشرحها و طالبات لتقابلهن.
فعندما جاءت أبلة لطيفة على هذه البلاد ، ظنت أنها مصباح علي بابا ، و لكنها لا تزال في رحلة البحث عن الراحة .
في الحصة السادسة ، تجلس أبلة لطيفة في مكتبها المتواضع و تحمد ربها على انتهاء جميع الحصص الخاصة بها ، لعلها ترتاح قليلاً قبل انتهاء الدوام .

أبلة لطيفة : السلام عليكم أبلة حمدة.
أبلة حمدة : وعليكم السلام أبلة لطيفة .
أبلة لطيفة : خير ان شاء الله؟
أبلة حمدة : خير خير ، فقط أردت منك مرافقة طالبات القسم العلمي في رحلة خارجية غداً.
أبلة لطيفة : ولكن..!
أبلة حمدة : أعلم أنك رافقتي طالبات الأدبي الأسبوع الفائت ، ولكن ليس لدينا خيار آخر..
أبلة لطيفة : وماذا عن مربية الفصل؟ أبلة سوسن؟
أبلة حمدة : أبلة سوسن لن تستطيع المجيئ فلديها ظروف أسرية..
أبلة لطيفة : حسناً..
"لديها ظروف عائلية! وأنا؟ هل أحد منكم يعلم ما هي ظروفي .. حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل"
فالكل يظن أن هموم الأبلة لطيفة هي هموم بسيطة جداً لأنها لا تظهر همومها و أحزانها أمام أحد ،، بل وأنهم يظنون ذلك لأنها تسكن في سكن المعلمات فهو بالنسبة لهم مكان فاخرو راق ولكن ليس بيدها حيلة فهي لا تعرف مكاناً أخر!
ينتهي الدوام المدرسي بسرعة فتتجه إلى السكن لعلها تجد الراحة التي ما زالت تبحث عنها.
