Young DJs must invest in high quality music. It's not sensible to practice using music with low bitrates.

I'm not a DJ. That's what I've always believed. When I was in high school and college I attempted DJing. I could not replicate what I saw elsewhere. As a DJ I had no idea and no ear either, to be truthful. I was often unable to hear the beat and would choose 7th instead of 8th. There were other factors that made DJing impossible. But I am a fan. I can tell when the DJ is offbeat, I can clearly understand when they are making mistakes however I can't think of doing what they do , which is to entertain listeners for many hours..
However, I shouldn't discourage anyone who is trying to become DJ. My experience should not hinder your plans. My philosophy towards people is to do what you want and be who you are. Do what you enjoy and be who you are. DJs are so agile and require constant help to grasp reality. It's crucial for them to comprehend what's happening in the world and around their role in it. Because Youtube music cannot be converted to mp3 by new DJs, not only is it prohibited under their TOS, but due to the poor sound quality. No matter how high the resolution of the video (e.g. 4k, 8k and so on.) the bitrate of the sound is still limited to 128kbps for M4A containers. However, it can technically create 160kbps MP3 or something like that. I hope this doesn't confuse anyone. If you're a DJ or computer music lover like me you'll realize that mp3 is able to store up to 320 kbps in audio quality. It's great, however, it's really cut off sound, which is packed into mp3 by cutting off the highest and lowest frequency of sound. The result is incomplete. When played from 320kbps mp3, deep house music isn't extremely deep. You can even compare it to playing it off the viynil.

New DJs should not put their time (and maybe even money) in cheap versions of songs that are popular. It's best to signup to services like Beatport, Fruity Loops or Juno Download to get access to a huge collection of solid, high quality soundthat can be manipulated into remixes or mashups using low quality mp3s to improve the overall sound. It's going to sound fantastic with its bass that is deep even when you add high-quality bass to a low quality MP3. This is what mp3 sound often misses: great bass.
But, this information should not be enough to make a new DJ feel at ease. Isn't it what makes a great DJ and a great entertainer to be working on your music every day? It's best to invest in the tools that you employ to create the highest quality sounds, the best mood for dancing in clubs and the most enjoyable times that are possible for members of clubs. They'll come back provided they have good beats and good heat. It's the rule.
