20 ડિસેમ્બર, “આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય માનવ એકતા દિવસ”
હું માનવી માનવ થાવ તો ઘણું
વિશ્વભરમાં દર વર્ષ તા. 20મી ડિસેમ્બરે “આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય માનવ એકતા દિવસ” ઉજવાય છે. ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિમાં તો "વસુદેવ કુટુમ્બકમ્" ની ભાવના પ્રાચીનકાળથી જ છે. સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્રસંઘમાં વર્ષ-2005માં પ્રતિ વર્ષ “આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય માનવ એકતા દિવસ” ઉજવવાનો પ્રસ્તાવ પાસ કર્યો હતો. વિવિધતામાં એકતાના દર્શન, વિવિધ દેશો વચ્ચે થયેલી સમજૂતિઓ તથા સામૂહિક કરારોની સમીક્ષા, વિશ્વના દેશોમાં પબ્લિક ટુ પબ્લિક કોન્ટેક્ટ વધે અને ગ્લોબલ ઓલિડારિટિ એટલે કે વૈશ્વિક એકતાની ભાવના ઊભી થાય તે ઉપરાંત અવિરત વિકાસ, ગરીબી નાબુદી અને બીમારીઓ સામેની લડતમાં વૈશ્વિક એકતા ઉભી થાય તેવા ઉદેશ્યથી આ દિવસની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવે છે.
પ્રાચીન ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિ મુજબ "સર્વે સુખિન: સન્તૂ સર્વે સન્તૂ નિરામયા" ના મંત્ર અનુસાર વિશ્વ બંધુત્વની ભાવના શાસ્ત્રોમાંથી જ પ્રજ્જવલિત છે, જેનો વૈશ્વિક પ્રચાર થાય છે. ‘વિવિધતામાં એકતા’ આ વાત લોકો જાણતા જ હોય છે પરંતુ આને કોઈ અનુસરતું નથી.
આજે વિશ્વનાં યુવાનોને સમજાવવાની જરૂર છે કે સમગ્ર વિશ્વ માટે એકતા કેટલી મહત્વની છે. આજે વિશ્વમાં જાતિવાદ, જ્ઞાતિવાદ, કોમવાદ, ગોરા કાળાનો ભેદ ધરાવતા વિભિન્ન લોકો વસે છે. આવા લોકોની સંસ્કૃતિ અને સભ્યતા ભલે જુદી જુદી હોય પરંતુ અંતે તો બધા માણસ જ છે ને છતાં પણ વર્તમાન સમયમાં દેશ-દેશ વચ્ચેની એકતા હોય, રાજ્ય-રાજ્ય વચ્ચેની હોય, શહેર-શહેરની હોય કે પછી પરિવાર વચ્ચેની કેમ ન હોય ક્યાંય એકતા જોવા મળતી નથી. પરિવારમાં પણ સંપનો અભાવ જોવા મળે એ તો ખરેખર દયનીય બાબત છે. આજે એકતા તો દુરની વાત છે પણ સૌ કોઈ હરીફાઈની હોડમાં છે જેનાં કારણે આર્થિકથી લઈને બીજા તમામ પ્રકારનાં નુકસાન થાય છે. એકતા માટે આજની પેઢી અને પહેલાની પેઢી વચ્ચે પરસ્પર વિચારોનું સાતત્યપૂર્ણ આદાનપ્રદાન ખૂબ જ જરૂરી છે. કારણ કે આજનો યુવા જુની પેઢીના વિચારોનો ખૂબ વિરોધ કરે છે તો જુની પેઢીના લોકો આજના યુવા પેઢીના વિચારો સાથે સહમત થતા નથી. એના કારણે જ પરિવારમાં મોટા ભાગના પ્રશ્નો ઉપસ્થિત થાય છે. તેથી એકતાનું મહત્વ પહેલા પરિવારને સમજવું જોઈએ, જે સમાજનું સૌથી નાનું એકમ છે. કારણ કે જો સમાજમાં એકતા ન હોય તો આપણે ગામ, શહેર, રાજ્ય અને દેશમાં એકતાની અપેક્ષા કેવી રીતે રાખી શકીએ ! તેથી એકતાનું મહત્વ સમજીએ અને પ્રેમ, ત્યાગને અપનાવીએ.
