The Honda CR-V offers the most spacious interiors among compact SUVs, a substantial set of security features and excellent gas mileage, mainly in the hybrid model. Hybrid models come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors for 212 hp, and an EPA-estimated combined rating of 38 mpg.
Standard driver-assist and active safety technology across all models include lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking that will slow up the vehicle’s speed if your potential front collision is detected. Blind spot monitoring is standard on just about the bottom LX trim.
Shoppers looking for advanced connectivity features plus much more creature comforts should skip the beds base LX model. The CR-V LX gets a standard 5-inch multimedia screen, while all higher trims give you a larger 7-inch high-resolution screen. The bottom model also misses on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, which will come standard on all the trims.
The top-tier CR-V Touring trim adds standard AWD, navigation with voice recognition, a premium 9-speaker sound system and wireless phone charging. Heated seats come standard for the EX, EX-L and Touring, and can be leather-wrapped within the EX-L or over.
