Make sure you don't hit or push the snake inside. Because the bin sides are smooth, the snake can't climb out, so it can be relocated safely.
If your snake is indoors, you can remove it using a shirt and a pillowcase. Your shirt or light blanket can be placed over the snake and scooped up, then placed into the pillowcase. You can place the pillowcase in a garbage bin or large box so the snake may come out if desired. Over the container, place an airtight lid with holes. Now you can safely transport the snake.
