Mice were given AlCl3 (aluminum chloride, 10 mg / L) for 12 weeks, and n1mn (20 mg / kg) was injected intraperitoneally in the last 4 weeks. After n1mn treatment, the activity levels of ALP and BGP were significantly increased, the decrease of NAD + in femoral cells induced by AlCl3 was reversed, and the thickness and number of bone trabeculae were also improved. This is sufficient to prove the protective effect of NMN on AlCl3 induced bone loss.

Later, this study further revealed the potential mechanism of n1mn in the treatment of bone injury, that is, inhibiting oxidative stress and the production of NLRP3 gene (which can trigger immune response) inflammatory pathway and proinflammatory cytokines, so as to reduce bone loss and alleviate the symptoms of bone injury.
