Continuous exposure to aluminum can induce bone diseases. More and more evidence shows that NAD + can prevent bone loss, but as a precursor of NAD +, what is the therapeutic effect of n1mn on aluminum induced bone injury? In October 2018, an article published in the journal Toxicol appl pharmaceutical showed that some scientific research teams had conducted in-depth discussion on this issue.
Mice were given AlCl3 (aluminum chloride, 10 mg / L) for 12 weeks, and n1mn (20 mg / kg) was injected intraperitoneally in the last 4 weeks. During the experiment, the researchers found that the levels of serum ALP (differential marker of bone lesions) and BGP (osteocalcin, marker of osteoblast activity) in AlCl3 treated rats decreased significantly. At the same time, AlCl3 triggered the inflammatory response in mice. After n1mn treatment, the activity levels of ALP and BGP were significantly increased, the decrease of NAD + in femoral cells induced by AlCl3 was reversed, and the thickness and number of bone trabeculae were also improved. This is sufficient to prove the protective effect of NMN on AlCl3 induced bone loss.

Later, this study further revealed the potential mechanism of n1mn in the treatment of bone injury, that is, inhibiting oxidative stress and the production of NLRP3 gene (which can trigger immune response) inflammatory pathway and proinflammatory cytokines, so as to reduce bone loss and alleviate the symptoms of bone injury.
