Supporting statement (in 250 words)
I am interested in this job because I believe the position provides a good challenge for a meticulous person. As one of the most recognised English-language test in the world, it would be my pleasure to become an IELTS Clerical Marker. I believe I have the qualities to maintain my performance up to the organisation’s standards and to pursue professionalism. I am able to offer the following qualities:
Personal qualities:
I participated in the 6th IET/MATE Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge which required working in a team to build a robot from scratch. The experience has helped to shape myself as a good team player, to establish a habit that always pays attention to detail and to respond to feedbacks. The experience as an IT student placement in HSBC has helped to develop a sense of professionalism and the sense in dealing with confidential information. I also acquired the skills in handling administrative tasks during the placement.
Knowledge and qualifications:
Besides completing the HKDSE, I have taken the IELTS Test in 2014 and have attained overall level of 7.5, with band 8.5 and 8.0 in reading and listening respectively. My experience in taking the test familiarised myself with the IELTS system. Also, the test result has proven my ability to fully understand the IELTS Marking Policies.
