Young DJs must invest in quality music. It's not logical to practice using music with low bitrates.

I'm not DJ. This is what I've always been telling myself. I attempted DJing during high school and in college and couldn't keep up with what other people were doing. To admit it, I was unable to imagine or make use of my ears to be a professional DJ. I'd always miss the beat, switch to 7th instead of 8th, and many other things that caused my DJ career to be a complete failure. But I am a person who listens. I can tell if a DJ misses beat and easily comprehend their mistakes. However, I am not able to entertain people all day long.

If you're looking to become DJ, don't be discouraged. My experience should not be a hindrance to your ambitions. Let your imagination go wild and go after what you need to satisfy you. This is my way of looking at people. Be yourself and be who you are. DJs can be very stubborn, and they need constant encouragement to keep their eyes on reality. It is important to assist them understand what's going on around them. The New Trier DJ should not convert Youtube videos into mp3, as it is prohibited under their TOS. It's also unacceptable to our ears due to the sound quality. The bitrate of any music video or video that is converted to mp3 is 128 kbps. This technically allows for 160kbps MP3, but it is not acceptable. I hope these numbers won't cause confusion. If you are a DJ and/or computer music enthusiast, you'll be aware that MP3 is able to store up to 320kbps audio quality. Although it sounds great, it is essentially a cut-off sound that is converted into mp3. This happens through cutting out the highest and lowest frequencies. The result is an audio that's not complete. If you listen to deep house music at 320 kbps, it won't sound that deep. Compare to playing it off the vynil format - then the depth of sound can knock crystal glasses off the table.
