The History of Gambling and Internet Casino Games
If you asked an uninitiated person about the history of casino games and gambling generally, they could give you an idea of the 16th century or even 1 000 BC. Because I did my research I am able to confirm that gambling goes back to the time of Zeus who was one of the Olympian god, and I am confident that this is the case.

It is said that the world was divided between hell, heaven, and the world of water by Zeus, Hades and Poseidon All in the roll of a dice. You know what you're likely to say. It's all legend. What about the archeological finds that have revealed dice-like forms as early as 40,000 BC. It was also a popular pastime during the days of the Roman Empire.

According to legend that the Romans had all pleasures in life, including dancing, winning and eating, gladiator shows and entertainment via casino-like games that required both the ability and luck. Many a highly esteemed Roman politicians were gambling debts to settle and children were taught in school how to throw dice!

Historical research has proven that the early Greeks were also avid players in games of chance but these were later banned. Legend has it that the Greeks weren't as savvy in their control as the Romans and therefore the boundaries needed to be set.

Numerous evidences of gambling that was rudimentary such as dice were also found in China about 2,300 BC or earlier. It is actually China that was the source of the modern card games we have in the present. While the Koreans were the first to create the first cards for playing, it was Chinese who perfected them with paper. Since at the time, playing cards had to be manufactured manually and separately and only skilled craftsmen were able to create them, only the wealthy could access them, making them extremely popular to the average person.

Mesopotamia, Ancient Persia, Egypt and India were also places to play games of chance and it is believed that in these regions is where backgammon gets its roots. In the beginning, dice throwing was closely linked to divination that is the art of predicting the future using signs made from stones, runes bones, and pebbles. In the later years, this was a regular game of luck that includes throwing dice.
