A Brief History of Keno
Keno is a gambling card game that involves stacks of cards (cards), of different numbers, stacked in rows, typically from one to eighty. A player marks or circles the maximum allowed, then hands in or counters his card and pays depending on how many were chosen... then all those who didn’t play a card get the new cards. The point system is simple. The winner gets all the cards facing up, while the loser must give back two cards. The third card can either be a low card or a high card. If you have five cards, the winner gets a low card. The winner can keep them all, while the loser must return three cards.

Keno was a Japanese card game that was invented six hundred years ago. It was then adopted by the Chinese. It was quickly adopted by the Chinese as a gambling game and was soon available in Europe. It was eventually brought to America. The "Whale Keno" name was given to it because the winning player would often bring with him every single ten to twenty numbers he won. Whales are so powerful that it was able compete well in this market. The game spread to England, Australia and finally to Scotland. It was quickly called New Orleans Keno (or N'Ocho Rope) in America due to the sheer number of rope tricks a player could do during the game.

While many people enjoy black-jack and other gambling games, many people are attracted to Keno due to the colorful numbers. This is because the numbers used in Keno are believed to be auspicious in many cultures. For Chinese origins, red, white, and green are considered to be auspicious. Black, however, is unlucky.

There are many lotteries available today, as you may be aware. While most lotteries are linked to a national government in some way, there are also a wide variety of free-will lotteries, which can be found all over the globe. However, Keno has been associated to many different national governments. It is illegal in many other countries, including the United States. This is due to laws that are in place around lottery games and fraud that are not linked with any national government.

As indicated earlier, the origin of the game of "book" was in China, specifically in Japan, and this led to organized, fixed gambling in China. After the Japanese conquered China they created their own lottery and called it keno. As in the American South, organized gambling was popular among the Japanese. Thus, the name "keno". Many types of gambling events are held in Las Vegas today. A large part of the income comes from gambling in the casinos throughout the country.

Although organized gambling in China has been banned for many years, the owners of the country's hotels, restaurants, lottery offices, and other businesses still have large amounts each year. As in America, a small percentage of this money is given to Chinese people as cash bonuses, but a large portion is used to purchase properties in casinos all over the world. This shows that although the ban on organized gambling was lifted in China, Chinese people continue to play Keno for financial enrichment. As long as there is a willing participant, it is possible that the lottery can continue to be a way for Chinese people to make substantial money.
