Online video storage is unpredictable. Websites can shut down or cease to exist. Here's how to backup your social videos onto your personal computer.

My personal story isn't that big. I was born, attended school, worked, then finally found an internet connection. It also contains some very difficult times when I believed that it was all over. One of those was the time my laptop computer went completely quiet. The site is one that I frequent. It allows me to download video content from Youtube and Instagram and Facebook which are a few of the platforms that I store the majority of my live streams. I am interested in politics and underground movements. Therefore, I record many live events, and save certain ones for later, and upload them to Youtube. Every time I finish live, I backup it onto my laptop. This is how I do it. It allows me to share YouTube videos on Facebook but also upload the video to Facebook. The uploaded video can become its own video. It's amazing the amount of live streams I have produced over the last eight years. I now have three TB. Periscope will not disappear.. It truly helps me.

It's as easy as. If I view the video I would like to download from Periscope, Youtube or Facebook, copy its URL via the share link. After that, I go to the video downloader site and paste the video URL where they want it, click the big button, and within minutes I have options to download video, save it on my desktop or laptop, to transfer it across different platforms and simple preserve it for the loved ones. It's not every site that can assist with Periscope, but this one is a good choice, it can manage m3u8 files which other websites typically download for you.. These are useful, don't get me wrong however, they're actually using online video feed fragments, so playing this file in VLC while it's fantastic, does not actually do the job because the video isn't actually in your system It's online and streaming from the internet as the player loads the short fragments 1 by 1...

Windows copy is a method to merge these fragments into one single file. The format for video used to create video fragments is MpegTS, sometimes referred to as transport stream. It contains all the information needed for video decoding in each fragment which makes them distinct from the stream, to allow each newcomer start streaming in a seamless manner. The browser can also save data because it only downloads the documents that are relevant to the content you are watching. If, for instance, you only view only 25 seconds of the stream, the player will download just 3-4 fragments. In addition it could download the next 2 or 3 fragments. This means you can save lots of data by downloading only 25 seconds of video stream.
