As an alternative if the above method seems too direct, you could use a large garbage can to flush the snake. A broom is helpful for guiding the snake into the bin. Avoid hitting or pushing the snake; you do not want to cause any injury. By using a bin with smooth sides, you can ensure the snake doesn't climb out and will make it easier to relocate it.
A shirt and a pillowcase can be used to remove a snake that is inside the house. Your shirt or light blanket can be placed over the snake and scooped up, then placed into the pillowcase. Place the pillowcase inside a garbage can or large storage container so the snake can escape if desired. Place a lid with air holes on top of the container. The snake is now ready to be transported.
