Stone massage, a variant of Japanese Shiatsu massage utilizes heat and stones. A stone massage lasts at least 90 minutes and is characterized by intense tissue work on the muscles. The stones are heated up to the right temperature before they are used. They can be basic stones such as granite or marble or crystals that are highly purified. These heated stones can be used to relieve tension in muscles and ease stress and congestion by the friction and heat.

Shiatsu massage can be a good option for those seeking to get relief from tension and sore muscles. The treatment is safe, gentle and effective and can be done privately or in an ensemble.
