Surveillance Video Recorders Could Help You Catch a Thief

Everyday in the news we hear of more burglaries, home invasions and personal crimes.
Thieves are coming into homes, not only when the homeowner is not there, but many times when they are,
making these break ins more and more dangerous. As we try to protect ourselves and our property, there are some tools to help up fight back against the crimes and these dangerous criminals.

Surveillance Video Camera Systems can be set up at any location to record what is going on when you are not there. Depending on the model you choose, these can have from one to sixteen different camera shots. These cameras can be placed at strategic locations, including your entry doors, your driveway, as well as different rooms throughout your property. These cameras can be hooked up to give you a live feed, where you can watch what is going on in live time on each of your different cameras, or recorded for later viewing. This will give you the advantage of being able to see who is coming to your door even before they get there!

Surveillance systems are great for construction sites, restaurants, homes, day care centers, warehouses, offices...really, any of your property, whether personal or business property can be protected by surveillance camera systems. A construction business owner I know was a victim of a burglary and theft. He had installed cabinets in a new home and had ordered granite counter tops for the cabinets. When he picked the granite up, his office scheduled the installation for the next day. During the night, two individuals broke into his warehouse, hooked up to the trailer loaded with the granite and drove away. What they didn't realize was that the owner had installed a multi-camera surveillance system. Not only did the cameras pick up multiple views of the two individuals but also the make and plate number off the truck! The police were called and the surveillance tape was turned over to them. Counter Surveillance Sydney were caught before they had time to sell the counter tops. All the granite and the trailer were returned to the owner in time to install the tops right on schedule.

Another example of how surveillance cameras help police solve crimes is in a highly publicized murder case. Parents of a family with several children were brutally murdered. They too had installed a
surveillance system. The horrific images on the system were key in identifing the van the attackers
were driving and also showed how many were involved.

Many times a sign indicating a surveillance system is installed on the property will be enough of a deterrent to send the burglar on his way!
