Prea slăvitul împărat Și-n tot anu, Pruncul Sfânt Și cu sufletu milos!
La pământ o cugetat Vine iară pe Pământ... Dumnezeu fie cu tine lerului domn
Și-o luat a noastră fire lerului domn Cine vrea să-i calce-n prag lerului domn În tăt anu care vine!
Să ne- aducă mântuire; Margă-n casa de sărac!
Și-o venit cocon micuț lerului domn Și, ca magii stelei sfinte lerului domn
Și adoarme-n legănuț. Ducă-i daruri primenite.
