I waited for Arnold while rereading his book and trying to use his strategies myself in online tournaments. The short of it was - it wasn't working for me. So I reverted back to my own mzone based tournament strategy and began winning again.

The rules of poker can be overwhelming at first, especially for a novice. The poker chips, poker rules, betting and pace surely got me confused when I first started, but like anything, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. Another tactic to use it by really pushing forward with a relentless aggressive betting strategy. It takes a little bit of faith but I find this tactics pays out more than almost any other.

Finally, every continuation bet you make keeps your opponents guessing. Sometimes you're betting with nothing and other times you're betting with strong hands. You want to keep it mixed up so that in the end your opponents are more likely to call when you have strong hands and to fold when you have weak hands.

Since 2003, no limit Texas hold em has become mainstream, and you're almost considered an outcast if you don't play. So rather than continuing to lose my hard earned money, I figured I'd do some poking around and learn how to play for the next occasion. How hard could it really be right?
