2006 was a phenomenal year for the Series. There were record-breaking prizepools and a Main Event champion who took home $12m (well, actually, half) and $156m over the entire series. It seems only fitting that the champ was named 'Gold'.
Two pairs: A pair contains the same number of cards. Two Pairs consist of two set of same value cards. Two players will each have exactly two pairs, and then the fifth will decide which hand is the winning.
Play big pairs fast. After studying thousands of hands involving big pairs (Queens / Kings / Aces) it has been proven that the best way to play the hand is aggressively. There are 3 outcomes to playing aggressively pre-flop; your opponents fold and you win the hand, your opponents call/raise and you have the best hand or your opponents call/raise and you do not have the best hand. If you're holding Queens / Kings / Aces the chances of your opponent having a better hand are negligible. If you slow play the hand, there are many opportunities for your opponents outdraw you and make you lose.
Mike Matusow, whether you like him or not, is one of the most consistent Main Event players over the past 10 year. 2004 saw a fierce rivalry among 'The Mouth" and Greg Raymer, but it was Ed Foster's AQ that beat Matusow's to send the pro blubbing over the rail. Although dominoqq net is a part of the game to have bad beats, you almost wish Mike could be lucky one time.
Poker is about making money. But that's not the only thing you should be thinking about when you play. When it comes to calling, checking, or placing a bet, you should focus on making the right decision. Your money is not your concern. Always be focused on making a good decision. The more you make good decisions in a game, you will win more.
There's the one in which he calls the guy an idiot and the time when he accuses another player of not being able to spell 'poker' or even play it. WPT Magazine has decided to group all the nuggets together because there were too many. Good work, Phil.
Ungar's self confidence was unmatched. winning poker game Two pair of Doyle with A-7 flopped on an A-7-2 rainbow flip, and Ungar made a speculative bet with his gutshot drawing. The 3 on the turn gave Stuey the nuts, his 5-4 only needing to avoid an ace or seven by the time the money went in on fourth street. The river paired the deuce, leaving Ungar as the fresh-faced WSOP champion.
The hands you think will work best preflop might not work in another situation. We're not talking about a game that you can sit at 4-5 tables at once for hours and still make money. This is a game designed for the 21st century of online poker. Yes, you can still play poker online to make money from the U.S.
