Notice that the dealer will not burn the top card on the turn, flop, or river. Burning the top deck card means that the dealer will discard any top cards in the deck. He will then deal 3 cards on the flop, 1 card on turn and 1 card on river.

I use percentages to determine which cards are best for starting hands. The percentages found in the figures are the probability the listed hole cards would win if the hand should go to the river at a full table of nine or ten players. The probability of having Aces-Ace as your hole cards and winning the hand increases from 31% with nine opponents up to over 85% when playing heads-up. This dramatic difference can be explained by the fact that in ten hand play, any of your nine opponent could win the hand. Simply take the statistics of each of your nine opponents and add them together. The sum is best at 69%.
