How to keep bored at bay when working long hours as a night security guard in an underground facility

The times are hard. It's difficult to navigate the current gig economy. I used to be able to perform well prior to the pandemic. However, my primary task as a dental assistant not that difficult. That's why I decided to take on a night-time security officer position at an area machine plant. It's almost entirely automated. Workers are employed throughout the day, while I and two engineers are the night crew. I have an emergency telephone number I can call when there's a problem or machinery stops. I call engineers and/or dial the outside number for more engineers. I'm not actually doing anything. The thing is, they are not even producing any valuable product So night time guards are really just an attendant on a switchboard..
In any case, it's something I enjoy. It's a peaceful environment, I've had trouble sleeping through the night because of the excessive release of gas and this isn't an issue. It's boring to spend the night and explore new ways to make it pass faster. For instance, I've been practicing this dance that I watched on Tik Tok for the last 2 weeks. It's not difficult but I find it hard to do it again. This dance was created by one of the most famous Tik Tok sisters. I don’t know how to explain this stuff since I'm old.
Recently, I've been playing with various videos on fixing your car. I'm not able to immediately apply them to my vehicle, but I do enjoy seeing other people make their cars stop-stopping. DIY videos are extremely instructive and simple to follow. Another problem was that it came up. I discovered that my internet would not be working any time soon. This meant that I could not perform any useful tasks or even watch videos. Apparently I figured out how to download YouTube videos Youtube and then save them to my phone, and then during internet disappeared hours and I was able to watch the DIY videos directly from my phone. No matter how you go about it, it doesn’t matter whether you stream the video from a site, some other place online or download it at home. You can then watch it right off your mobile device when you have no internet access or wifi. It's simple to set up DVR for streaming online videos, and not only TV shows.

My pure joy at streaming new episodes and films directly to my laptop, is proof of the effectiveness of television. My laptop is so much superior to my phones and I can take speakers with it to work. I signed up to HULU as well as Netflix. I am now able to download their apps and watch movies instead of streaming them. The show's duration and quality choices will determine how quickly the movie will download to my device. Then, it will be available at all times and without internet connection. It's only fifteen minutes, but it allows me to catch up on the most recent episode that I missed on the train ride to work.
I have many other informative or simply interesting material that I can download at home in order to shorten the pace. I am a huge fan of YouTube's webinars on different self-improvement techniques However, it's difficult to watch a 1 hour video that is interrupted multiple times and yet keep up with the idea they are trying to convey. You'll see what I mean. You'll be able to see what I'm saying.

Sometimes, I bring my son to work along with me. This is due to the fact that my wife does her night shift, making it difficult for us both to stay home with our child. So I bring him with the intention of setting him up with my computer screens and in a matter of minutes he's asleep. When he wakes I take him to my laptop with some music videos and he's enjoying the show. It's how we get along better with each other, when we are doing our individual thing. He seems to really enjoy having me around. Perhaps he's tired of being up all night.
