You are Carrie Willows. You are a little girl born to the highest noble family in your village in Willow's Creek. However, there was something specifically special about you. Unlike other people in the village, you and your mother, Astra Willows, have magic. Magic was feared and frowned upon in the village, as they saw it as a terrible force from the devil himself. They were about to sentence you to death by drowning when you were born, but an old traveling woman, named Rose Tracy (or Rosie), who was in the village at the time, testified against them and saved your life. Astra wanted to repay Rosie for her kindness, and gave her, her family's old pendent. Rosie smiled, "Sometimes kindness in return is enough." She then gave her a tiny sheet of pink, magical fabric. Rosie told her that it was for her to do with as she pleased, as she didn't need it anymore. Rosie told her that if she wanted to, she could use it to make Carrie something to remember her by. Astra decided to do so, and with Rosie's help, made a bow for Carrie with the fabric, using Pink Chornostone thread, a magical, indestructible string. She soon left the village, never to return.
Carrie got her bow on her third birthday, and until her magical accidents would start when she was four, it would protect her from any harm to the child.

Astra ended up teaching her magic, when she wasn't at the small schoolhouse. Since wands (they were called "Death Sticks" to the villagers) were banned in the village, Carrie learned in full detail about wandless magic, and how to cast it, and when she got older, she preferred to use it. Soon, the magic in the bow faded to a flower in Astra's flower garden, who kept it, not knowing that Carrie's life was about to get more complex. Her father, Jack Willows, was increasingly disappointed and angry that people in the village would just go and bully his daughter, especially the mayor's daughter, North. But he couldn't do anything about it, since North's father, Seres, was his boss, and he would be sent to death by drowning if he dared laid a paw on her.
All he could do was have his head down low, and quietly support his family through it all. Soon, everything changed. Carrie was now six years old, and she was walking around the dusty paths of the underground village, when her bow got snatched off her head by North. "Hey! Give that back, North!" You yelled at her, running after her. She didn't expect you to care about this "pathetic piece of cloth" so much, and she stopped, kind of stunned.
"Give me my bow back." You demanded, and North gave you a strange look, "Like I would, to a freak like you. No, I won't give it back." She said, giggling.
"Give it back or I'll..." You weren't sure what you were going to do, until a thought came to your mind. "Or you'll what?" North demanded. You threw a big rock away from you with your mind powers, and it hit the dusty floor with full force. "Give it back, or I'll do it again!" You warned her, and she growled, "No! I'm not going to submit to a disgusting devil child lowlife like you, Carrie!" In your anger, you threw her farther this time, and she hit the wall with a painful thump.
"You're a freak!" She yelled at you, and you just stood there, staring at her with cold hatred. "I know. Give me. my. bow. back." You repeated at her, and she looked at you, with a hurt expression. It was an expression, that soon changed to one of pain, as she looked down, and saw blood dripping down from her nose. "Look at what you done, freak!" She yelled at you, as she held her broken nose. You stepped back a bit. You couldn't believe it. You felt bad, really bad, you wanted to apologize to her, but why should you? She doesn't deserve one after the shit you've been through. Still, you couldn't bring yourself to do it, You hated her more with every fiber of your being with this act. You just watched as she ran away from you, sobbing loudly. "I'm telling father about this!" She cried, before turning the corner, out of your sight. She left your bow behind. You put the bow back on. You knew you now were in big trouble with everyone in the village soon, and you told your parents about what happened.
Jack was furious with you, and he was going to send you to your room without supper, but Astra intervened with her usual grace. She comforted Jack, saying "She didn't ask for this to happen, darling. She was protecting her bow from getting stolen and I'm pretty sure North deserved it." (She was right. North had stolen the bow from you in the first place.) Jack sighed, and nodded.
