The Unidad Obrera
The first meeting of the Unidad Obrera took place in 1936 in Santiago, Chile, with obreros from all over the world. The meeting's goals were to unite workers and establish a common minimum program. The group also wanted to promote international politics and democratization. But the lack of a union made these efforts difficult. That is why a second meeting was held in 1977 in Mexico City. That meeting brought obreros from all over the world to the city of San Salvador.

The Unidad Obrera is located in Tamaulipas, Mexico. The population of the town is approximately 1,990. Its total area is 517 square kilometers. It has a density of 1,145 people per square kilometer.
