This Fantaisie-Impromptu was written in 1834, but Chopin didn’t publish it in his lifetime. In fact, he specifically requested that none of his unpublished works be published after his death – though this was completely ignored. The Fantaisie impromptu is one of Chopin's most famous pieces. This piece was written in the key of C# minor, just like Beethoven’s famous Moonlight Sonata, and that isn’t the only similarity between the two.
