What's the difference between a bankroll and money management?
You've probably seen comments like "If you don't have the money management skills, then you won’t succeed" or how about "money management is more important than the strategy employed" or "You won’t win if your finances aren't in order."
There will always be a group of punters bleating about the virtues of money management. These punters believe that this magical term "money management" can be a godsend, and can transform their unprofitable method into a profitable one, simply by changing the way they stake. This is as likely as Jess going to an evening out with Nicole Kidman.

Realizing this, I may be making you uncomfortable particularly if you've been influenced by people who believe these words, This is just an opinion and you're free to ignore everything I say.
I confess that I shouldn't be feeling as strongly as I do, but I'm telling you, I get some really horrible thoughts entering my mind whenever the words "speak" are used.

Okay, so what's all the fuss about? What is the difference between money management and bankroll management?

Money management (in my view) is the process by which a gambler seeks to make money from any kind of gambling, purely by using a staking approach. It doesn't matter what game you choose (horse racing or craps sports betting etc) losing money if you gamble blindly is the only chance to lose. That is to say, that if we place a bet on the number 7 on the roulette wheel for long enough, eventually the casino will walk away losing our cash. We might get lucky in the short-term however the reality will be set in a half reasonable time.

You can't beat these games if only alter the stake for each race, bet, spin or hand. find this 's a lose-lose strategy. That is, you are trying to use money management to win the game. It's a losing game but trying to win simply by placing bets.

It is evident that we could make the majority of gambling profitable if we use our skills and knowledge. (Some games are more difficult to beat than others).

The management of your bankroll, on the other side, is the choice of how to stake your selections once you've found the most profitable strategy.
It is important to think about how you stake your money when you are winning.

In blog here , it's the difference. Money management is employed by gamblers who attempt to beat the odds by placing bets. It can be a lot of entertainment, don't get me wrong, but not so good for your wallet.

It would be foolish and arrogant for me to ignore the fact that the entire concept of stakestaking is quite contentious. Millions upon million of punters will claim (or even most punters) that it is possible to turn a losing strategy into a profitable one by clever money management. If that's the case you should not allow me to stop you. Every punter should do what is most successful for them. Simply put, if your strategy for staking works for you, then by all means, take it to the next level and keep going.

On the other hand, I prefer to use established methods for managing your bankroll. The best way to get the most out of a profit-making approach to managing your bankroll is about, not how to determine an effective strategy by the staking. It is difficult to find a lucrative strategy to stake your stakes if you don’t have an efficient strategy. This isn't an notion or a guess - this is a ten-year-old mathematically proved fact!

Whether punters want to listen and learn what has been proven to work, or if they are looking to put their heads into the sand and claim that it's all academic junk' and doesn't work (as a number of punters have informed me) It is obviously their decision.

When considering this one must be asked should it be possible to beat an otherwise unbeatable game simply through placing bets, it would turn out been one of the greatest mysteries in the world as to how casinos could be allowed to exist. Roulette, like other casino games, has an edge on the house that is lower than horse racing or keno. (For instance, 2.7% house advantage on roulette, against 15% - 25% for horse racing, or 5% - 10% for sports betting.) So, if this were feasible, it would be expected that the casinos would be the first ones to be cleared. Wouldn't you?
But, I can tell that when one's life depends on these types of decisions, I am more secure in relying on mathematically proven approaches to succeed even if they're academically unsound, rather than relying on intuition or hot streaks. My experience is that hot streaks and hunches don't put food on the tables.

In a sense of a tournament, many of the above rules do not apply. The reason is that an entrant is playing directly against another opponent, which makes this the exception to the rule. It may be a good idea to try an alternative staking strategy based on the opponent's position. When playing a tournament, such as a casino blackjack or roulette tournament playing with a consistent and prudent way will more often than not, result in you maintaining, or even growing your bankroll to some extent. However, to win such tournaments, you need to use a somewhat more aggressive strategy to beat the other players.

In conclusion, if you are a money management fan and think that all the evidence is "academic wank" and think that games like roulette are beaten simply by staking, then you have one advantage over those who employ more mathematical methods You will be welcome with open arms in any casino.
