After all centuries with agricultural and farming life, people could fulfill their needs by shopping. All of needs (can be buyable) of human are stands on racks.
In 21 century, people forgot how can they live without community, handle land and, etc. Now, it can be clearly seen that people have been depended each other. Thus shopping culture is indispensable part of our lifes. The behind cause shopping provides basic needs.

Unfortunately we are living the worst age in humanity, it is called like consumption age! People consumpting everything unawaresly. They consumpting music with just 3 chords, consumpthing their think with 140 character, worst ol all they consumpt themselves with overproducing for high sale rates. Every friendly "advices" which are whispered by big colourful posters (called adverstisement) command to buying everyday. After all this backwards people started think they could buy happiness or beauty to shopping. Thus shopping for needs reshaped to needing shop. Shopping must have been classifed as a hobby by the people.

On the other hand, if focus on womans shopping habits and woman's alter ego, there is a another reason may be appear. Womans are collector role in nature to survive, according to research of "Psychology" magazine.It may be main reason of womans shopping addict. It can be calling that addict since when woman buy something, her body secretes dopamine.

Despite everything, people need shopping for their needs but it doesn't legitimate to shopping hobby. In my opinion every hobbie must be productive for collective or individual beneficiation. Consumpting is not a hobby anywise.
