Rankings based upon percentages are used to determine which cards constitute premium starting hands. The percentages in the figures indicate the probability that the listed holes cards would win if a hand went to the river at a full table with nine or ten players. With nine opponents, the probability of Ace-Ace being the hole card and winning increases to 31% to over 85%. This dramatic difference can be explained by the fact that in ten hand play, any of your nine opponent could win the hand. Add the statistics from each hand to get 69%.

The most interesting thing about Ace-King's and Ace-Queen's strength is that they seem to bust more players in tournament situations than any other hand.
