He holds the Cleveland Browns record of rushing yards in a single year (1,863) even though he has been around for decades. This record has been held by no other team in the league. Jim Brown also was awarded the league MVP award 3 times during his time with Cleveland.

You're familiar with the sayings about people who repeat the same thing repeatedly but expect different results. This is often the standard definition of "insanity". It seems that many of our youth football coach friends suffer from this player-decimating affliction. They keep doing the same thing year after ann?e, and end up with the same frustratingly poor results. I went through this post-season assessment in my first years of coaching youth soccer. I always answered that I needed better players to solve my problem. My thoughts were that all I needed was a better x player, better y player, kids with more motivation, more size etc etc. It was always the faults of the children, all I needed was a "good crew" and we would do well.
