what is the underground railroad: The underground railroad is a transportation that was used by slaves to help get to black exceptional places for example Canada. Slavery is legal in the south, however in the north its illegal. Why was the underground railroad so important to the slaves? Well they got punished,beaten,even killed, and way more. This was all caused by their masters (the people who owned the slaves). but some slave owners were kind to their slaves and took carw of them! but theirs still more. CONTINUE.
