Repairing simple gadgets, furniture, and furnishings




Gadget:
- has circuits
- small mechanical or electronic device with a practical use.

Furniture:
- kept in a house
- to make our life comfortable for living or working in.

Why is knowing how to repair is important?

- to make it profitable
- to have it for longer use
- less spending
- to make it a business

If hindi na savable or hindi na pwede, kailangan na itapon. It's for our safety too. Napapagastos pa tayo

How to repair:

1. loose legs:

- insert with force stick glue inside the joint by means of an thin stick
- use practical or improvised clamps to make a firm hold.
- drive additional nails.
- strengthen the legs of the chair with wooden braces and allow to dry overnight before using the chair

Wooden braces - added for additional forces. added on the corner

2. Clogged Kitchen sink:
- unscrew the drain plug at the P. trap while positioning a pall under to catch the dirt
- screw back the drain plug and pour water to see if the clog has been removed
- use the plumber steel blade

1st way:
- run hot water (the grease will be melted or the clogged food will be soften)

2nd step:
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 2 vinegar

3rd step:
- draining snake

4th way:
- bucket
-disconnect the pipe or the p trap

pipe lining/relining - if there is no other way you can repair the sink. it has resigns on it. to replace the old pipes. because other pipes has rust on it and its clogged.

3. Loose and squeaking door
- insert round wooden plug at the screw holes
- drive back the screws
- if the part of the door and door jamb are rotten, relocate the hinge
- put a little amount of oil

4. Hard to open cabinets and drawers
- diagnose the cause of the hardship of opening
- get a wooden plane to reduce the door and drawer sizes
- apply oil on hinges, remedy

5. Door lock not working
- diagnose the cause
- align the latch to the door lock if it is not in line
- adjust the door lock it if has a wide gap from the door jamb.

6. Key is hard to turn in the lockset
- get a thin stick and put some oil along it and insert into the lockset.
- insert the key with little oil also and repeatedly turn the knob to the left and right until the turning becomes soft and easy

7. Extension cord is not functioning
- examine the parts one by one and see to it that it is disconnected
- check the male plug if it is in good condition
- check the contact terminals at the convenience outlet; the opening to the male plug might be wide
- adjust the contact terminal to the male plug

8. defective light switch
- disconnect the circuit breaker
- turn on the other lights of the house to check if there is really no electric current
- check the contact point on the switch
