Psychological Reasons For Gambling
Gambling is considered to be the second-oldest occupation in existence. Beyond the basic urges that drove the Apes throughout their evolutionary routine, an innate desire to take risks and emerge as a winner over their peers was the one quality that cut down the herd mentality and made Homo sapiens the front runners in the battle of survival. This inclination towards the undiscovered and stuff whose outcome was beyond the control of the mind and body created the foundations of our religion, science, mythology, theology and most of the knowledge which later became the characteristic of our species. In the end, weren't Adam and Eve playing with fate and order of Lord when they took a bite of the forbidden fruit? Behold! free to play pc games been rewarded...

Our brains are trained to be attracted by the game of chance. The reason for this can be traced back to our ancestors way back in the prehistoric era that were constantly facing some strange or other. These odds were crucial to their survival, and the survival of their race. We are now living in the 21st century. Gambling today is a multi-billion dollar industry that thrives on the enthusiasm and obsession of a modern-day gambler who is always "nearly missing" hitting the never-ending jackpot. What compels a hard-nosed business man or an executive with an impressive degree and a proof of the rationality and intelligence that has guided them in all aspects of their lives; to blow away their hard earned cash in just one night in an obscene casino is an interesting research project that sheds light on the motives and motivations of a mind which is constantly in the wild.

First of all we should understand that all gamblers do not fit into stereotypes that people who aren't gamblers have of them. This is referring to both the stereotypes that sit at the opposite end of the spectrum. One is of a suave, sophisticated, ladies man who is a shrewd drinker, who can appreciate wine and always has three aces on his sleeve This image is reinforced through James Bond like characters that make gambling look glamorous and sexy up. On the other side is the petty counterpart to this attractive-looking-devil. He is a social rot -famished and addicted to drugs, as well as taking, fighting for the sake of gambling. He is so addicted to it that his life is in danger and he is a menace to his family and society. Fortunately, our real-life gambler lies in the middle of this range.

In real life the gambling community can be classified into three distinct classes, each having their own sets of motives and reasons. They include:

1) Gamblers who are casual or high-risk gamblers

This is a group of persons who take gambling for what it is, a game. They are willing to play a game of cards on special occasions, wager on horses as part of a social gathering, and place a wager on their relatives who are equally enthusiastic about the outcome of Euro Cup. For them gambling is just one of the many skills needed to prove that they belong in the world. They gamble because their group of friends demands or because they enjoy the thrill. They know when to put aside their excess and when it's the time to get out of the way.

2) 2) Problem Gamblers or habitual Gamblers

This group includes people who consider gambling to be more than just a leisure activity. They are having a difficult time stopping the gambling habit due to their addiction to it. Problem gamblers are those who play regularly.

3) Pathological Gamblers

This grouping is likely to include the people who contribute to the second type of stereotype. Pathological is defined in psychological terms as a type of compulsion that is characterized by the ability to resist overwhelming, irrational desires. Therefore, pathological gamblers are those who have a irrational attraction to gambling, but are unable to make judgment as to when its time for them to stop. Gambling is their main purpose, just like an addict. Many of them also have other behavior disorders afflicting their personality - this is known as Co-morbidity. The people who fall in this category require strong support to get them out of this nadir.

This is the classification for gamblers and their motives for what they do. Let's now try to figure out how best free to play games moves about in these stages. What is the primary reason that a person gets involved to gamble? In the past, for our ancestors avoiding risks was altogether an enormous risk they could not afford to take. Considering from where we stand today, the prospect of navigating through deep forests in darkness with nothing but stones to track down the beast was a dangerous gamble that most people would not take in today. For them, it was a way of living. Slowly but surely, the ability to gamble has boiled down in every one of us. A novice gambler may not realize the risks and rewards of gambling but it's common sense for them to continue. It becomes difficult to avoid the lure of a glamourous career. These games are typically designed in such a format that the gambler thinks that his abilities are growing and that he is getting closer than ever before to winning. If the gambler isn't controlled, this could lead to an issue and eventually addiction. Gambling is the result of two universal feelings which are the desire to win big but without actually working hard to win it, and struggle to give up on the dream, no matter the level at which they're.
