Blind bets are placed before the game begins. The small blind is the forced bet to be placed by the player on the left of the dealer. The small blind bets half of the minimum while the big blind bets the minimum. The big blind is located to the left of the small blind.

Similar to the above, you can gauge the strength and weaknesses of your opponents hands by watching how they bet or raise looking back at the past two betting rounds. The last decision would be after the river is dealt. If you think that you have a winnable combination of your hole cards and board, then you can either bet or raise. The game begins with a small, known as an Ante, bet. The players are then dealt two cards, one face up and one facing down. The pocket card is the face down card.
