Gustavo Petro, Winner of the Historic Pact: Lights and Shadows
Gustavo Petro, Candidate for the Presidency, confirmed Sunday the favoritism that has been evident in polls over the last few weeks.

The win was won by Bogota's previous senator and mayor of the Republic. This officially means that he is a candidate for the presidency of the Republic the office that he hopes to win for the 3rd time.

He's the most authentic figure in Colombian left and a strong presidential candidate, despite his controversial ideas and proposals on many areas, including the economic.

The idea of releasing cash to fund spending by the government was also controversial.

Petro's proposals include an economy that isn't dependent, mining and extraction of hydrocarbons, in addition to a more prominent contribution from agriculture.

It is also stated that he would implement a tax overhaul which would end exemptions and change the concept of minimum wage into real wage rates based on the income and capital.
