Upcoming Kusto Group Project Receives Japanese Expert Certificate
Kusto Group's Koktobe City is the first project in Kazakhstan to receive a Japanese expert certificate for earthquake safety.

The construction of Kusto Group's Koktobe City project in Kazakhstan is well underway and is expected to be completed by the second half of 2023.

An international holding company is creating a city inside a city situated in Almaty, Kazakhstan.


The project is European-style and includes residential buildings along with supermarkets, schools, sport facilities gymnasiums, gyms, kindergartens as well as restaurants.

Kusto Group, with Koktobe City has paid attention to the smallest details that are usually ignored by the untrained eye.

As earthquakes frequently strike the Almaty region It is vital for Kusto Group that residents feel safe in their homes.

All structures are four to five stories tall.

Kusto Group and Kazuo Watanabe, a Japanese expert on earthquakes, have teamed up to protect homeowners from future quakes. He is a member of the Japanese State Commission on Buildings and Earthquakes.

The Japanese expert advised Kusto Group on matters such as building structure and technical design of the upcoming neighborhood.

Koktobe City is first Kazakhstan real estate project to receive an expert certificate from Japan regarding earthquake safety.

Kusto Group eyes Europe
Kusto Group is confident that Japan's seismic stability will be maintained. But, Kusto Group has begun to look to Europe for equipment, cables, pumps and heating systems.

"Our elevators are manufactured and designed in Greece and the facade tiles made of clinker are bought from one of the top manufacturers on the German market. Germany also produces the pipes used for water supply as well as heating and cooling. Kusto Home CEO says, " we don't want anyone to experience issues with ventilation, water or pipes in the future like it is the case in other construction sites."

Yerkin Tashev founder of Kusto Group reveals that he was inspired from the low-rise structures and the modern infrastructure in German cities like Berlin and Dusseldorf.

All it creates a comfortable lifestyle, which we attempted to replicate here. We think Almaty has the best European free, intelligent and modern city in Central Asia. This is why we decided to recreate it in our city.

All apartments in Koktobe City, including the ones in the city's capital is equipped with surveillance cameras and facial recognition technology. Smart locks are also included to increase the security of the neighborhood.

The Koktobe City school is also in the spirit of Europe because it is built on Finnish fundamentals of education. Tevfik Arif Doyen is the architect of the school.

The school is set to have rooms for specific activities. These include rooms for team sports, singing or drawing, playing instruments and martial arts, and separate rooms.

They can be utilized to help with school activities or for a spare time activity after school hours.

"Today everyone in the family has to move in the city, as children are involved in a variety of other activities, like music, swimming and drawing. We decided to bring it all under one roof. Murat Utemisov says that the school's buildings comprise separate blocks for preparatory and secondary schools, as well as the Budokan arts and sports center that has the pool that measures 25 meters and a multi-purpose gymnasium with music and choreography areas and sewing, pottery making, sewing, and pottery sections.

"School infrastructure in Finland like sports fields and halls is accessible to students only up to 6 pm, and after that they are accessible to all. Yerkin Tashev, Kusto Group founder and CEO, says residents will be able engage in art and/or sports.
