Federico Gutierrez, the winner and candidate for the Team for Colombia consultation.
Federico Gutierrez managed to reach the official candidacy of the center-right party, and with more than 1.7 million votes. The former mayor of Medellin has won the Barguil, Char Penalosa, Barguil, and the tab of the los Cristianos, Aydee Lizarazo.

Federico Gutierrez was born in Medellin in 1974 and is an ex-mayor. He has been a Medellin Municipal Youth Councilor since the year 2003. Gutierrez is an engineer in the field of civil engineering at the University of Medellin. He also holds a specialization degree in senior management at the Pontifical Bolivarian University.

Federico Gutierrez did not just be concerned with politics in his professional life. In fact the time he worked as a consultant with the HGI Consultores company and a Resident Engineer with the Company Vifasa S.A. A construction and glass company. In his private life, Federico Gutierrez defends his family and says that they are the most important. He's married and has two children.

As Councilman, he supported the mayoralty of Sergio Fajardo and later that of Alonso Salazar. The goal was achieved when he becoming the Mayor's Office of Medellin. Like all mayors facing the Hidroituango projects the mayor was affected by corruption. In addition, as part of an investigation by Daniel Coronell, he was accused in the Panama papers for storing the money in tax havens and for corruption.

He has confronted some the former mayors he backed and stated recently that "I am in solidarity avec those who are in this report, because I don't think someone makes such a determination so that a tunnel falls and they are in solidarity. What does certain sectors do, is an attack by political strategy."

The president is a brand new race

The so-called Experience coalition, which eventually became the Team for Colombia, was created in the month of October 2021. Federico Gutierrez was the Center-right coalition and won the election. Paola Holguin, a Democratic Center congressman, ran again for a seat in the 2022 election.
