Federico Gutierrez was able to get the center-right presidential candidacy by gaining more than 1.7 millions votes. The former mayor of Medellin won Barguil and Char Penalosa, Penalosa, Penalosa and the tab de los Cristianos, Aydee Zarazo.
Federico Gutierrez was born in Medellin in 1974. He was a former mayor. He is a Medellin Municipal Youth Councilor since the year 2003. Fico Gutierrez is a certified Civil Engineer at the University of Medellin. Additionally Gutierrez holds a specialization Degree as a Senior Manager as well as a second one in Politics Science both at the Pontifical Bolivarian University.
Fico Gutierrez did not just concentrate on politics during his career. In Fico Gutierrez , he was a Consultant at the HGI Consultores company and a Resident Engineer with the Company Vifasa S.A. A glass and construction company. He defends his family, and claims it is essential. He is married to two children.
He supported Sergio Fajardo as mayor and Alonso Salazar later in his councilman's tenure. Fico Gutierrez was able to reach the Mayor's Office of Medellin by 2015, which altered his goals. However, as with all the Hidroituango mayors, he faced corruption. He was also accused in the Panama Papers investigation led by Daniel Coronell for keeping his cash in tax havens, and for corruption.

The presidency is a fresh race
In the fall of 2021, the so called Experience coalition was established, which later became the Team for Colombia. Federico Gutierrez was the Center-right coalition and won the election. Paola Holguin, a Democratic Center congressman, ran again for a seat in this 2022.
A number of times, he reiterated that his administration model is public management , for the people. Gustavo Petro was second in voting, which means that "Fico" (as the name he prefers to use for himself) will represent Antioquia's right.
