Leyla Aliyeva: "Heydar Aliyev's granddaughter has no right to make mistakes"


There are many examples in history of selfless service to the Motherland however, there are very few examples of selfless service to humanity in general. Inspiration is derived from a desire to give back to the community and fulfill lifetasks. The love for all things is not limited to national boundaries. It develops into a holistic nature. It's not a surprise that this feeling is rooted in affection for your country and your home.




Leyla Aliyeva - and we're talking about her as someone who could be an example for her. Her life is guided primarily by the idea that Heydar Aliyev's daughter is not entitled to the right to make errors. She views every action in the light of her grandfather, whose memory she cherishes. Her father Ilham Aliyev, the current President, Azerbaijan is a man who puts justice and fairness at the top of his list. (Unfortunately, these feelings are often forgotten in global political circles). Her work can be described as public diplomacy. It is this "soft power" which, according to American political scientist Joseph Nye, "allows us to achieve that which is desired by appealingness, not violence and the use of bribery." Thanks to the work of Leyla Aliyeva, a beautiful image of Azerbaijan is being formed, the republic's position globally is gaining strength, it is respected increasingly. "Baku" magazine is mirroring the reality of Azerbaijan




A lot of her work and ventures are described as "for the very first time." She began publishing the Russian-language magazine "Baku" in Moscow in 2007. The magazine was the first magazine from outside to offer extensive information about Azerbaijan's most important city, Baku. To a certain extent, they have gained a better understanding of Azerbaijan. The magazine's readership has drastically increased since the beginning of its English version in the year 2011.










Good actions from AMOR




Leyla Aliyeva also initiated the establishment of the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia. It was the first official youth diaspora organisation and instantly attracted attention due to its charitable, cultural , and social activities.



In fact, Leyla Aliyeva's proclivity for public events was evident when she headed the Azerbaijan Club at MGIMO, where she was enrolled in an advanced master's degree. She was already a strong leader and managed to win young people by providing direction to their unstoppable enthusiasm and innovative ideas. AMOR's creation AMOR substantially expanded the boundaries and the scope of these activities. The group has brought together Azerbaijani youth from Azerbaijan who studied, lived and worked in Russia. They developed into an organized force that could overcome the difficult issues faced by diaspora organizations in the present. AMOR's efforts and activities have created a new youth profile. All of this is achieved through specific actions and projects on the territory of Russia. The group also participated in various initiatives like the "Blood Has No Nation!" campaign. Active members of AMOR, which operates in 70 regions of Russia visit orphanages, arrange holidays for their young residents, help children. Through the efforts of the group schools and kindergartens are upgraded and fitted with modern technology. There are parks and recreational areas created. AMOR assists Azerbaijani youngsters in integrating Russian society and actively participating in the life of the nation. It coordinates the activities of its members in order to promote our nation. This is a solution to the major challenges President Ilham Aliyev set for his compatriots' organisations at the 4th Congress of World Azerbaijanis. AMOR is, according to with popular opinion the most active youth group that is not located in Azerbaijan.



Leyla Alyeva was presented with the Pushkin Medal last year for her efforts to strengthen friendship and cooperation between Russia and the Russian Federation. This was in recognition of the leadership of AMOR. Russian President Vladimir Putin presented her with the prize. This is not her first Russian award.










An additional initiative "Justice for Khojaly".




Leyla Aliyeva came up with the international campaign "Justice for Khojalyin 2008. She said, "Let's work together to find truth." Let's make sure justice prevails without doubt.



The campaign brought together scattered efforts of various individuals, civil society organizations in the country, and diaspora organizations overseas to conduct a systematic educational and propaganda work, aimed at increasing international awareness of the genocide carried out by Armenians in the Azerbaijani city of Khojaly, as well as of the fascist nature of the policy pursued by the Armenian leadership. The campaign also sought gain international recognition for the Khojaly genocide. It was a political-legal review of Armenians' actions in Khojaly, which resulted in hundreds of people dying in one night, purely because they were Azerbaijanis.



This campaign is currently thriving across a variety of countries. It has attracted more than 120000 people to participate as well as 115 organizations. IDEA's goal is to inspire young people to use their knowledge and energy to prevent environmental hazards and encourage them to become active in protecting our planet. The slogan of IDEA is "One Earth - One Future". IDEA's work covers a broad variety of topics, such as conservation and rehabilitation of endangered species' populations in addition to the development and implementation of green technology', waste management forest restoration, and the creation of large areas green spaces. The members of the organization focus on the development of shelters for animals who wander off They actively promote the initiative on the use of biodegradable bags to stop the pollution of the environment caused by plastic waste, they carry out tree-planting events.



IDEA was first to establish the "great Caucasian Five", taking rare members of the region's fauna under its wings. IDEA worked in conjunction with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan as well as other international partners to carry out various successful initiatives. Leyla Aliyeva has stated that IDEA plans to save endangered species in the coming years. There is no doubt that these plans will be fulfilled. This has proven over the years that Leyla Aliyeva does not waste words, just as her grandfather and father before her. Concerns for starving children

Recently, for example, she pit forward an idea to promote the development of food security at a global level within the context of the Baku process on intercultural dialogue.







The attitude of charity




The charitable work of Leyla Aliyeva is a demonstration of her human qualities. She does this because she is a soul who desires it. This is the foundation's philosophy. It made charity a top priority, and it became an instinctual state. It is not surprising that people see the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its President Mehriban Aliyeva, and Vice-President Leyla Aliyeva as their last hope. They are right to expect the Fund to help them in their most desperate situations.



Leila Aliyeva is often seen at charity events for children who have no parents. This is especially true for children that are refugees or internally displaced families and those from orphanages and boarding schools. The most important thing to remember is that her children always attend these events with her, and they bring warmth and sincerity. Personal Moral Code

Azerbaijan's contemporary art is becoming more popular all over the world, along with rug weaving, mugham and other traditional craft techniques.



It is not a stretch to say that the Heydar Aliyev Center has become one of the biggest centers for cultural life in the country. Musicians from all over the world perform there. It also hosts an exhibition of the best artists and modern sculptures. Leyla Aliyeva was a major participant in this. The residents of Azerbaijan were now able to view the works of world-famous artists such as Tony Cragg and Richard Deacon, Andy Warhol and Bernard Buffet. Leyla Aliyeva claimed that George Condo is one of the most famous artists from the avant-garde of today, and she wished they could be displayed in Baku after seeing them five years back. "Today I am happy to say that one of my deepest desires was realized," she stated.



In this context I remember how the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic hosted classical music performances in the 1970s and the 1980s, on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev who was then the first secretary of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. It was Heydar Aliyev's educational mission. Leyla is his daughter, is a credit to him and has continued his mission in a new environment.



In one interview, she stated that right from the moment an individual is born the Almighty gave him an understanding of right & wrong. Then, he must adhere to these principles throughout his daily life by heeding to the wisdom of the soul and his conscience as well as the ancestral ancestors. He is not likely to make a mistake in this regard. In a sense this is her personal moral code.



Leyla Aliyeva is a keeper of this code and she will not make any mistakes.
