The latest buzz in Google circles is about Google's new program called Google+ Social Impact. In a nutshell, it combines two of the most popular features on the web: Google's personalization and Google's in-platform social network. Users can create pages and share posts with their social networks, while automatically adding content to Google's big dine-your-face sight. If you're not familiar with Google+ yet, we'd suggest you read our review first.
Unlike other platforms, however, Google's effort doesn't promise a sweeping revolution in online community building. agency does, though, mark a significant advance in two areas that have long been problematic for Google. agency of these is the way Google allows its members to broadcast personal content to their friends. Until now, this functionality has been limited to a select group of sites like Chrome and Gmail. This limited network of sites was frustrating for many users who wanted to express themselves creatively, but had trouble getting the job done.
The second problem was the difficulty of actually connecting with others on these sites. Chances are, your circle of Facebook and Twitter friends is very small compared to the many millions (yes millions!) of people using Google's other social networks. While it's possible to add a network of friends, it can be a cumbersome process.
With Social Impact, Google is finally addressing both of these problems. It's designed to make it easy for Google users to join and participate on multiple social networks at once. It will let them easily add friends from their existing Google accounts and streamline the sign-in process for new users. The end result is a social site that's not only a community site, but one that's capable of driving a significant amount of traffic.
One of the biggest things that we've all come to expect from Google is that it publishes its own blog, much to the disappointment (and excitement) of its social media peers. Now, the blog will be hosted on Google's own content network, called Blogger. If you use Blogger, you'll be able to integrate your account with Google's social network, allowing you to share your posts on your social media pages as well. agency could be a major boon to anyone who owns a popular blog or is active on a number of blogs.
Google is also making it easier than ever for visitors to find their way back to the site. They've redesigned their navigation panel to give users a cleaner and more intuitive experience when navigating back to the main page. You should also notice a new Search option in the main page that will help you find specific search terms. This is great news for those who need to know what a particular topic is all about but don't necessarily want to go to the main site. You should also see a refreshed user experience on the main site itself.
Another thing we're excited about is the integration of Social Impact Into the Google+ social networking platform. With this new feature, you'll be able to share pages from your blog straight to your friends' pages. Google says this feature will work across devices, meaning that if you have a Google+ profile, you can share articles from your blog straight from the social platform. It could be a major boost to your Google+ rating and should make interacting with your readers easier than ever.
Hopefully by reading this article, you'll feel more comfortable with Google's latest updates. agency know it's not going to be easy. However, if you're already comfortable with the site and are using it often, we think it's good to be introduced so that you have a better understanding of where the company is headed in its efforts to be a socially-aware one. The best way to learn more is by checking out the Google+ profile area. It's a great place to get first hand information about how the brand is doing in the eyes of its audience.
