Jerry Rice is famous for running every pass route into a goal zone during practice. Every route all the way in. This was all about finishing. Hustling. Never giving up. Bill Romonowski describes how Rice did this during his rookie season. Romonowski then chased Rice down in an effort to get noticed. He was a starter mid-season.
Research the programs/schools you're interested in. Try to start step before your junior year in high school, if you can. This will allow you to move through the process without feeling rushed.
He says that for some of the marginal players that aren't top-notch recruits, he gets them other methods of financial aid, and uses that as part of the pitch to sell the players to collegiate programs.
Many of them claim to help students get more exposure to college coach coaches. However, I'd be cautious of services that charge large fees. I am not convinced that they are worth the money, but that is just my opinion.
Once the zone has been identified, it is time to identify what kind of zone it is. A zone defense, just like a zone defense of basketball, in football wants the ball to stay in front and only in certain areas. They will often force the offense to place the ball in one spot. They will give up yards, but they avoid the big plays.
A coach asked me recently how I would attack or defeat a zone defense for youth football. It was quite a generic question.I told him to be honest and identify that it was a defense zone. football player game How do you do this?
Children crave this kind of affirmation. It confirms that you care. You can see the committed kids and those who have "bought into" a coach. I will show you the kids who know that their coach cares about them as people and not just as football players.
Get better at academics. Do visit here want to expand the number of schools that you can attend? Do you want to avoid having to accept scholarships from schools you don't like, just because you couldn't academically qualify for your top choice schools?
