The online video storage sites may stop functioning or cease to be available. Here's how to backup your social video presence to your personal laptop.

My personal story isn't one with much depth. I was born, went to school, worked, and to finally achieve something online.. But there were some terrible moments, when everything seemed lost for ever. One of those instances was the time my laptop computer went quiet. After a bit of tweaking, moving my hard drive from the old drive to the new drive and getting a new desktop, all my work was restored. It took three days of sweating, literally crying... I've learned one thing. To automatically or manually backup my work from the day using Dropbox and my personal ftp servers so nothing can ever be erased.

This isn't the best option. The bigger your online data storage becomes, the more you need to spend to keep everything in it, to keep it up and running. It's very simple and secure. It's easy to access and can be downloaded anywhere where there's internet. What happens in those instances where internet access isn't available? I feel very secure to always carry my laptop since it is my last resort for backups. I have two drives, each with an RAID stack. They copy each other and make sure there's at least one copy if one of the HDDs fails. I only copy stuff there so the laptop doesn't fail.

My other day of great sadness occurred just a few weeks back. I make sure that I don't lose any work. Like I said, I have duplicates of it many times. Also, it is available online at any time internet connectivity is available. This was Periscope. It was something I used quite often a number of years ago. Even last summer in 2020, during the disturbances, I was able to do a few live streams. Now Periscope TV is closing down and all the videos will go away in a few weeks. What do I do? I'm interested in politics as well as underground movements, so I record a lot of live events, and store them for future usage. I can share YouTube video on Facebook however, I can also upload it to Facebook. Each video could be its own video. In the end, I have more than 3TB of live streams I've produced over the last eight years. Periscope lives never cease to exist.. I find this website extremely helpful.

It's like magic. The video I would like to save to Periscope or Youtube is open. I then copy the URL by using the share button. video downloader youtube Then, I go to the video downloader website and copy the URL. I then download the video to my computer or onto my desktop. I can save it to my computer to utilize on other platforms. You can also share it with friends. Periscope is not accessible on all websites. The site is able to manage m3u8 files that other sites download for you. I then navigate to the website for video downloaders and copy my video's URL in the location they prefer. Then, I press the on the big button. Video is not downloaded to my computer, it's online and can be played online as the player loads small fragment files each time.


If you aren't aware, the windows copy command can help you to connect these fragments and produce a normal-length video file. This is due to the format used to create the fragments: MpegTS, also known as a transport stream. It contains all the data necessary for decoding video in each of the fragments. Each stream can be launched from the middle of the stream without interruption. It also helps save information by downloading 360 x 10 second videos. It downloads only the streams that you are watching. The player will receive 3-4 fragments from the 25-second stretch and 1-2 following fragments in case it continues to watch the stream. It reduces the amount of download required to watch the stream within 25 seconds.
