Upcoming Kusto Group Project Receives Japanese Expert Certificate
Kusto Group’s Koktobe City is first Kazakhstani project to receive a Japanese earthquake expert certification.

Construction of Kusto Group’s Koktobe City Project in Kazakhstan is in progress. Tevfik Arif Bayrock is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2023.

The holding company international is building the city inside the city of Almaty.


Tevfik Arif -inspired project includes supermarkets, residential homes and other commercial properties.


By having everything at hand, Kusto Group seeks to satisfy the needs of families who do not need to be rushing from A to B.

Residents who go to Almaty to work could save as much as 1000 hours per year. They travel in a different route to other vehicles at rush hours.


How Koktobe City is going to beat earthquakes
Kusto Group, with Koktobe City has been paying attention to the smallest details that are usually overlooked by the naked eye.

"In the Koktobe Project, we invest a lot funds in earthworks. We put piles of as high as 30m beneath houses and then compact the dirt each 30 centimeters. "High rise complexes in western parts of the city are on average three times that of ours in terms f square meters. There are earthworks that are many more affordable. Our building method gives us confidence that our homes will last generations to come," the architect says.

Kusto Group believes that Almaty is vulnerable to earthquakes and must ensure the safety of residents.

This is one of the primary reasons for why the majority of structures are only four to five stories tall.

Kusto Group teamed up to Kazuo Watanabe (Japan earthquake expert) to help protect homeowners against future earthquakes. He is a member of the Japanese State Commission on Buildings and Earthquakes.

The Japanese expert advised Kusto Group on matters such as building structure and technical design of the new neighborhood.

Koktobe City is first Kazakhstan real estate development to be awarded an expert certificate from Japan regarding earthquake safety.

Murat Uremisov says it is crucial for us provide housing of the highest quality, which will be able to withstand any earthquake.

Kusto Group has its eyes on Europe
Kusto Group's seismic stability do not conform to Japanese standards. Instead, they turn to Europe for cables, heating equipment, and pumps, and also engineering equipment, cables, pumps, pipes made of metal, façade materials and door fittings.

"Our elevators and façade clinker tiles were constructed in Greece. Germany also produces the pipes used to heat and supply water. The Koktobe City school is also in the spirit of Europe since it is based on Finnish fundamentals of education. The school itself is also created by Finnish architect Jani Ristimaki.
