Fan Tan also known as fan-tan is a shrewd gambling game that has been played for a long time in China. It is split into multiple sections, much like other traditional Chinese games. The home base player makes bets according the layout of the fan-tan board. The first player draws seven cards. The other players roll a die and put their cards at the end of the deck. The bet of a player is the total amount of dice rolled.

If the player has no cards, the base has to purchase more cards from the shop. They may also purchase one additional card for every row of sevens on the board, and then add the sevens to the chips they already have in the general area. When the game has started after the round has begun, the dealer will shake his deck and deal each player twenty-four cards. Each player will then place his cash on the table. Seven players will receive seven cards by the dealer. The dealer will ask each participant to name his four cards, similar to how they would have named the cards in the original round. But, as there are no cards remaining in the deck, all seven dealt are to be taken away by the player who had been naming them.

Once all the sevens have been dealt the dealer will then call the first dealer and then get ready to deal the second round of chips. The second dealer will hand out the same twenty-four cards that were dealt in the Fan Tan round to the players, however the seven cards that were eliminated will now be set in their proper places. When this is over, the second dealer will announce "iryther" and the Fan Tan round will be ended. After that, each player will be returned to their table at home.
