One of my favorite memories is from a trip to Bali Safari Park when my son, daughter and wife were taking photos with an Orangutan. I was going to show them the photos after my son fell down a step. He was so badly injured that the guide offered to help him pick him up to run to the first aid station. I raced after my son and followed the worker at Bali Safari Park to get his head all bandaged and cleaned. I must say that the staff did a wonderful job of taking care my son.

I also love the beach and sitting down at one of the beach bars in the afternoon for a few quiet ones while the wife gets a pedicure and does a little bargaining and the kids are playing in the sand. You end up in a small group, talking about your travels and watching the sun set.

Nowhere is the up-scaling of Bali in recent years more obvious than here. You will find peace and quiet in Seminyak Villa rentals that are a little further from the main roads. However, it is still close enough to the action that you can walk back. Seminyak is home to many shops and restaurants.
