Literally and metaphorically The journey was empty. Never before have I been this bored. I knew that the ice was too thick and the boat had no other choice than to turn around and go back to the shores of civilization. This was not a huge surprise however, it meant many hours could have been spent listening and watching videos from podcasts, DIY tutorials about home fixes, or just listening to music. The next time I'll convert YouTube videos into MP4 and MP3 on my computer. Music can help lift your spirits. Also remember Hulu and Netflix apps are able to download shows and movies for you to watch offline, those can also be viewed on the long trip across the Arctic. Be sure to not be bored. Good luck!
