Do you think the effects on young people of an adult culture of power are similar to the effects on people of color of a white culture of power or the effects on women of a male culture of power? Why or why not? Site specific examples to support your opinion.

I do not think that the culture of power on white people and black people is the same on yong and old people because young people will eventually transform into the dominant group but black people will never become white people. (my keyboard is partially broken so this is hard to write.)

What does the phrase “to be given the benefit of the doubt” mean to you? In the context of things we discuss in this class, which cultural groups get to have the benefit of the doubt more often? Can you describe specific examples? Feel free to reference the articles and excerpts you’ve read in class.
To be given the benefit of the doubt to me means that you believe a person because the person is seen as the dominant group and that they must be doing the right thing because they are the dominat group. One example of this is the Michael Brown case where the police officer was not sent to prison for killing an unarmed man, because it was beleived the officer was doing the right thing.
