Bali is a beautiful island in Indonesia. Due to the number of temples and shrines on Bali, it is sometimes called "the islands of 10,000 temples". Spirituality is at the core of Bali's existence. Every day, the island hosts major religious festivals and thousands of small thankful offerings. The mere mention of Bali brings up thoughts about exotic beauty, endless spirituality, and endless joy. The island with ten thousand temples has all of that and more. Bali is a place to eat, pray, and love.
There are currently no railway lines in Bali. However, plans are underway to build a railway line along the entire coast. It is planned to open in 2015.
Clothing - Since Bali is a tropical area, it would be more comfortable to wear clothes that are made from cotton. Wearing loose clothing with shorts during dry seasons is a great option.

1993 was the first year we drove up the west coast to Medewi, where we discovered the surf beach. The west coast is reportedly boring beyond that. While most people only travel to Java to get on the ferry, there is some snorkeling and diving in the NW of Bali.
